Missouri Supreme Court Rule 17 mandates basic training requirements for individuals seeking to become mediators and participate in court-referred mediation programs.  Dr. Zand completed this training in July 2025.  Training consisted of a 16-hour course that covered the fundamentals of mediation, its relationship to the legal system, and essential skills such as conflict resolution techniques. Successful completion of this training, often referred to as Rule 17 Basic Mediation Training, qualified Dr. Zand to be listed as a neutral on court mediation panels in Missouri.
