Our doctoral level psychologists conduct comprehensive psychological testing with tailored recommendations to support your child's social, emotional, and behavioral development.   We routinely assess for Autism Spectrum Disorders,  Attachment Disorders,  Developmental Delays, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder,  and Social/ Emotional/Behavioral Difficulties.  We have particular expertise in differential diagnosis and pre-adoption evaluations.
ASSESSMENT

Autism

For ages 24 months to 16 years, includes:  

(depending on the child's chronological age)

ADHD

For ages 48 months to 16 years, includes:

 

  • Intelligence Testing

  • Achievement Testing 

  • Language Screening

  • Sensory Profile 

  • Behavioral/Emotional/Social Assessment

  • All Appropriate Neuropsychological Areas: processing speed, visual-motor skills, visual-perceptual skills, auditory processing skills, attention/concentration skills, oral language

  • Continuous Performance Test 

  • Feedback session with comprehensive report and recommendations.

 

Attachment

For ages 18 months to 16 years, includes:

  • Marschack Interactive Method (MIM): a structured technique for observing and assessing the overall quality and nature of the relationships between 1 caregiver and their child. 

  • Behavioral/Emotional/Social Assessment

  • Feedback session with comprehensive report and recommendations

 

Developmental 

 For ages 18 months to 60 months, includes:

 

  • Comprehensive assessment of cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, language, and social/emotional functioning

  • Feedback session with a comprehensive report and recommendations

Social/Emotional/Behavioral

For ages 5 years to 16 years, includes:

 

  • Please speak to us regarding your concerns in order to obtain an estimated cost of assessment.  These are typically completed on an hourly fee basis

  • Feedback session with comprehensive report and recommendations

 

THERAPIES

Pre-Adoption 

 For ages birth to 16 year, usually includes:

 

  • Interviews with each prospective parent if more than 1 parent 

  •  A conjoint interview with the prospective parents

  • A review of the Home Study Report

  •  Psychological testing

  •  Feedback session with the prospective parents, unless the prospective parents waive this right

  • A written report and letter based on the adoption agency's requirements

 

Screeners

Types of Available Screening Tools:

  • Autism, ADHD, Language, Developmental, Social/Emotional

Individual and family therapy services are available to address adoption issues, attachment, developmental trauma, anxiety, depression, parent-child relationship struggles, cognitive/emotional/behavioral regulation difficulties, adjustment problems, and social skills delays.
THERAPY
